Aira Force part 2

A waterfall
This is Aira Force
Situated in woodland near Ullswater in the Lake District, Aira Force* plunges dramatically around 65 feet (almost 20 metres) through an overhead bridge and over the rocks into the pool below.
*in Northern England steep, narrow waterfalls such as this are often called a force. This word is very descriptive of the action of the water being forced through a narrow gorge.
In the her poem Grace Gant used words and imagery to create in the mind of the reader an image of a waterfall without actually using that word. If you had guessed that this was what the poem was about, then she was successful in her task.
