Buffet beats Gates in rich list
Mar 6 – Warren Buffett, the famed U.S. investor, has replaced his friend and Microsoft founder Bill Gates as the richest man in the world.
Forbes magazine estimates Buffett’s worth at 62 billion U.S. dollars in its annual ranking of the world’s wealthiest people.
Mexican telecoms tycoon Carlos Slim came in second with an estimated worth of 60 billion U.S. dollars, pushing Gates to third place at 58 billion U.S. dollars. Gates has held the number 1 spot since 1995.
