Congratulations for joining IELTS Writing Breakthrough Coaching!

I am really excited about meeting with you and helping you to make a big difference to your IELTS writing and speaking skills.

The next thing you need to do is your writing!

 

  • You’ll find the details of Tasks 1 and 2 academic and general training below

 

  • I would also like you to tell me how long it took you to write the tasks and include your planning so I can have a look at your thought process

 

Once you have done this then send me your writing via email:

For me to give you the clearest feedback it is better to send your writing in a word document (if this is not possible then by all means scan and send).

 

As soon as I have your writing I will send you my timetable so you can choose a suitable time for the Skype session and will send your writing back before this so that you can look at the corrections and see if there are any questions you want to ask me about this when we speak.

 

Here is a Task 2 question for both academic and general training

 

As populations grow and cities become more crowded, there is pressure throughout the world to construct ever taller buildings to provide accommodation and offices. Many people object to such developments citing the social as well as the physical dangers.

 

You will find a Task 1 academic attached to this page – simply open or download it and write your task.

 

Here is a Task 1 letter for general training

 

You live in a flat and you have a tenancy agreement which states that you must give three months’ notice when you wish to leave. You have paid a deposit of two months’ rent. Now a member of your family has a problem and you need to give up your flat and return home as soon as possible.

Write a letter to your landlady. Explain your circumstances, tell her what you intend to do and ask her for special consideration.
