Day of the Dead celebrations

Nov 1 – Vibrant displays and elaborate altars usher in the Day of the Dead celebrations in the old historical center of Mexico City.

 

Every year, Zocalo Square features a spectacular offering trying to rescue the traditions of this significant date. Altars are erected along the entire plaza remembering famous Mexican artists who have passed away or commemorating special moments of the city’s history.
