Ellipsis in speech 3 – answers to the exercise

Josephine: "Sharon and Pete’ve been ill with worry, Mary says. They haven’t been out anywhere or seen anyone for weeks."
Mark: "What do you mean, ill?"
Josephine: "Well, you know, stressed-out. I know what they mean, it can be really hard thinking you’re about to lose your job."
Mark: "They’ll have to get used to it. It happens all the time. I don’t know what they expect, (given that they work) in that line of business. It’s a fact of life for most of us. They’re just a pair of moaners."
