ELTMentor half-day workshops

We have held two half-day workshops so far – (unfortunately the second one didn’t record very well so we only have the first one available here).

The half day workshops run (with breaks) for 4 hours and follow a particular theme.

October 2011 – Using technology in PD and classroom teaching. We will look at how we can use technology for our own professional development and part of this will include a twitter tutorial. Everybody is asked to bring along their favourite technology tool, website or anything technology related to share. Following our technology webinar training, participants were also asked to prepare a Presto (10 slides each one lasting 10 seconds) presentation for the group.

You can download from the site if you wish (the files are too large to host here at present).

December 2011 – Using topics to unite the skills – our theme is festivals and our focus Christmas. We’ll explore how one theme can be used to integrate skills, vocabulary and grammar. Participants bring a lesson on a festival theme to share and we will end the session with everybody giving a presto or pecha kucha presentation on a festival theme.
