ELTMentor Programme Dates 2012/2013

Hello everybody,

First of all thank you for choosing to join this programme – I am absolutely thrilled to be working with you all and I am sure that we are going to have a great journey throughout these next twelve months.

 

Please find below all the information you will need to get started.

 

** 12 monthly Teleseminars on key teaching topics

2012/2013

Here are the dates for these: They will take place at 12.00 p.m. London time (we will review this if it proves not to be the best time)

28th May: Q&A session – where are we all now what are the challenges

26th June: (note this is Tuesday not Monday) Selecting and using coursebooks

30 July: Teaching pronunciation

24th September: Giving feedback on writing assignments

29th October: Designing a course

26th November: Preparing students for exams

28th January 2012: Maintaining consistency in feedback and correction

**3 half-day workshops will be held on Sundays

They run from 14.00 to 18.00 UK Time

** The Pecha-Kucha/Presto events will follow the workshops and everyone will get a chance to present at one of these events

 

** We will meet every 2 months for a Q&A chat about where we are and any questions can be brought to this session.

You will receive links and a password for the webinars the week before each event. Login details for the forum will be sent in your welcome email.

 

Keep an eye on the ELTMentor network in Gapfillers for anything that is uploaded or added there.

 

Please use the chat room for your own personal group chats or meetings and don’t forget that you can send messages here to individuals in the group as well as to the whole group.
