Encouraging young people to become engineers – exercise A

We use the word ‘outreach‘ to mean an effort by individuals in an organisation or group to communicate its ideas or to the general public. Arts Outreach events target people not usually interested in such events, or who live too far away to be able to attend them. Some organisations employ outreach workers, people whose rôle is specifically to reach out to people outside a usual group or community.

This video is about Cambridge University’s Engineering Outreach Programme which aims to stimulate interest in the subject and achievements of engineering. Can you watch the video and answer these questions on it?
