English, the living language, is worth learning right
ESCANABA – Years ago people lived by pithy sayings like "A stitch in time saves nine" or "A penny saved is a penny earned." Boy, could we use that now. And what ever happened to "Waste not, want not"? It should be the environmentalists’ mantra. My mother was a perfectionist. She believed, "A thing worth doing is worth doing well." I tried to convince my son of this. These old sayings provided us with a way to order our life. They gave advice on morals and work. They claimed to explain why things were as they were.
