Mystery illness hits household technology! |
Electronic items seem to be very susceptible to ‘viruses’. Not the computer kind but some type of illness that only seems to attack objects like mobile phones, cameras, remote controls and can spread like wildfire around the house!!
First my brand new phone rejects its Sim card. Within days of this happening the digital camera ‘freezes’ and despite much coaxing refuses to switch on or make any moves whatsoever!
This non-cooperation illness then spreads to the digital box which refuses resolutely to engage with any channels on the television.
The TV in the spare room is next to succumb and refuses to eject its DVD.
The illness is highly contagious with daughter’s MP3 player struck down, the microwave and the iron.
The last straw was when my old mobile phone, which I’m having to use because the new one hasn’t recovered, was struck down with a milder form and is working in a half-cocked fashion. It must have built up some immunity!!
