European glory for Man United

May 22 – Manchester United beat Chelsea in the Champions League Final on penalty shoot outs in Moscow.

Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson said fate played a big hand in the win which comes fifty years after the Munich air disaster in which several Manchester United players died on their way home from a final in the top European tournament.

As Ferguson and his team enjoyed their win, Chelsea manager Avram Grant tried to rebuild his team’s confidence.

Michelle Carlile-Alkhouri reports.
