Well, here they come – the last month of the year 2011, and the festive season of Christmas. We are unashamedly ‘into’ the festive season here at Gapfillers, so you will find that lots of the work on the site this month has a Christmas or winter theme; and the Free Exercises page is no different!

This month we have a poem with a wintry theme and from an unusual perspective. Read all about the 11 million dollar diamond Christmas tree, as well as a tale with a cautionary lesson in the Diary of a 21st Century Nobody!

Test your grammar skills with some negative adverbials, and then see how many idioms you can spot in an exercise that is new to the Free Exercises section.
