February 14th was Valentine’s Day – so, in case you were unfortunate enough not to receive a token of love on that day, here are some beautiful red roses with love from all at Gapfillers! This month in the Free Exercises section we pay homage, in a poetic format, to the beauty and wonder of The Moon. The poem uses some beautiful language to describe this heavenly body….

The grammar test this month is based around the use of the apostrophe. Once you have mastered this skill you will see how often it is incorrectly used – something that drives us crazy at Gapfillers, especially as the misuse is usually by native English speakers 🙁 The Bronte sisters are famed for their novels and poetry, so this month we decided to feature an extract from the powerful and dark novel by Emily – ‘Wuthering Heights’. We hope you will enjoy it, and perhaps decide to read the rest of it and other Bronte works. Finally, we have a listening exercise this month based around treasure hunting and a fantastic find for one such enthusiast, and our 21st Century Nobody is having ‘a right good moan and groan’ about things that annoy her……..(that could be a long, long article!)
