Autumn is now upon us as the leaves fall, the sun becomes cooler, and the nights lengthen. However, here at Gapfillers we are not in a gloomy mood – we are CELEBRATING!! October sees our 4th birthday and we feel like celebrating in style – for the WHOLE OF THE MONTH, and with all our friends on the site. Now, how often do you get a gift on someone else’s birthday? So, keep a look out for all the celebratory events we are running on the site – both big and small – from Gaptip, to the Murder Mystery game. Each week of October will herald in a new birthday ‘gift’. All the events have been created to help you to improve your English language skills, so ‘cosy up’ with Gapfillers, close out the Autumn chill, and join the 31-day long birthday party to celebrate 4 years of Gapfillers!

Do you know someone who wants to improve their English language? Then pass on our name, and help the Gapfillers community to grow, grow, grow.

In this month’s Free Exercises area we look back at a truly English summer tradition – tennis at Wimbledon. We ask – ‘is water the new oil?’, and we explore the possibility of a cure for colour blindness. The grammar exercise features the correct use of a, an and the. Do you know when and how to use them?

Don’t forget to read the latest instalments of our 2 diaries too.

See you next month.
