The modifier flat-pack or self-assembly is used of furniture or equipment which is sold in parts which the buyer then usually puts together (or assembles) him/herself. Eg a flat-pack bookcase / a self-assembly desk

an income bracket – approximate category of earnings. The word ‘bracket’ indicates a broad group. Sometimes, for example in a questionnaire, people are asked to indicate their ‘age-bracket’ eg 0 – 15 years, 16 – 25 etc.
