Gas prices have fallen sharply, but carmakers are still eyeing a market for electric cars, based on tighter fuel emission standards and eco-friendly consumer demand.
In Tokyo, some of the latest in electric cars are on display, along with the lithium ion batteries to power them from concept to reality.
