Japan opposition chief won’t quit
Mar 4 – Japan opposition chief Ichiro Ozawa says he won’t quit as party leader, despite the arrest of a close aide in a fundraising scandal.
Ozawa’s aide was arrested Tuesday over prosecutor allegations that illegal corporate donations were accepted, and at a news conference Wednesday, Ozawa defended his aide and said his own actions were beyond reproof.
