valentine rose

A belated Happy Valentine’s Day to all!

If you didn’t celebrate on the day (February 14th) treat yourself to some wonderful Valentine biscuits and share them with those you love! It shouldn’t matter what date you tell someone you love them should it?

Our theme this month in the Foyer is not ‘love’, as you may expect, but -‘would you believe it’.

There are 2 light-hearted and unusual stories in the reading section and a heart-warming story of the peculiar method used to save a monkey in the listening section.

loving couple
bouquet of roses

The grammar section includes articles and exercises on adverbs, tenses and avoiding repetition.

We have taken some of the wackiest stories from the news bulletins for you to read and work on, including the story of a 127 year old man!

We do not know if the theme this month will test your belief in news stories, but we do know they will test your English language skills, so make a start………
