Welcome to the May edition of the Foyer. Spring is well underway and the cherry and apple blossoms have burst into life, and aren’t they pretty?

The nights are now much shorter with daylight lasting until 9pm. It’s a perfect time to find a quiet corner to relax in with Gapfillers and practise your English language in any one of the great sections we offer on the site, from poetry, to grammar, to listening…

We are looking toward the Summer in the Foyer this month….

The Grammar section has a selection of land and sea phrases, as well as some guidance in the use of ‘lending and borrowing’ terms.

The reading, listening and news sections continue the cosmopolitan theme with quizzes and exercises to test your skills.

Don’t forget, the Foyer is just a ‘snippet’ of the thousands of pages we have for you to access if you upgrade your membership- and with regular features and themes, there are thousands of opportunitites to develop your English language learning.
