Lesson 46 – transferring your answers

You have ten minutes to transfer your answers   Make sure you do this carefully Use it as further checking time for your answers

Let’s begin with some tips and advice

 

1. Transfer these carefully – you don’t want to make any mistakes at this stage.
2. Be efficient and effective – check as you go – are there any answers that you are not happy with – re-think these.
3. Write your answers clearly in the boxes provided.
4. Don’t go into automatic mode – think as you copy are there any answers which need changing?
5. Copy ALL the questions carefully not just the more difficult ones – don’t make silly mistakes with copying!
6. Keep an eye on the time you need ALL your answers on the sheet.
7. Check the grammar and spelling as you copy – you may be able to correct mistakes.
8. Make sure you copy systematically – don’t get things in the wrong place.
9. Remember that making mistakes here can affect your band so make sure you practise this.
10. Check everything if you have time.
11. Go back and check with the questions if you still have time.
12. Make sure that things are in the right order.
13. If you need to change something check against the questions to make sure you have it in the right place.
14. Now is the time to re-visit any questions you weren’t sure about – if you still don’t know the answer make an educated guess.
15. Don’t leave any blanks, you don’t get penalised for a wring answers so if you are not sure just guess the best answer.

• Make sure that you practise transferring your answers before the exam.

 

• Most books have a sample transfer sheet – use this to practise the transfer.

 

• Time your transfer so you have an idea of how long it takes and how long the 10 minutes you have is.
