gravitate – move towards something

manifest – show or display something

to shoulder – to take responsibility for something

premise/premiss the understanding or acceptance of a truth or fact

hands-off – being remote

give someone their head – allow someone to make their own decisions and do their own work

fragmented – not coherent, in bits and pieces

timely – in good time

to poach – to steal or take something from someone else (usually used of animals bred for hunting)
