The South Bank Show is a television arts magazine show, made by London Weekend Television – the ‘south bank’ refers to the south bank of the river Thames, in London. It aims to take both high art and popular culture to a mass audience. Broadcast on ITV and shown in many countries, its presenter is Melvyn Bragg, a writer. Here he interviews a popular animator, Nick Park, the creator of Wallace and Gromit. You might have seen (or heard of) his animation films such as ‘A Grand Day Out‘ or Creature Comforts‘.
