Persuading people to do what you want without being rude – exercise
Some cultures deal more directly than we do in Great Britain. You may find in America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, for instance, that their general manner of address is less circumspect than ours.
You would do well to be aware that some softening of your tone or approach can be beneficial and stop you coming across as abrupt. The problem with being abrupt is that it can soon sound rude, rather than clear and direct.
