Russia-Ukraine gas row spreads

Jan 6 – Gazprom deputy accuses Ukraine of blocking three key pipelines for Europe, as German utility E.ON sees a significant decrease in shipments.

Russia’s gas monopoly Gazprom cut off gas supplies to neighboring Ukraine over a pricing dispute.

Greece, Bulgaria and Turkey were among the first other countries affected by the cut in supplies, which has since widened to Germany and Italy.
