A How would you describe the general ethos of your school?
B How does it fare in school league tables, do you think, or do you know?
C Do they have special provision for gifted and talented pupils…?
D How much contact does the school have with your parents – with parents, sorry – in general?
E Do you have to wear school uniform?
F How about sport – how much sport is there on offer?
G Or perhaps a boarding school, if you had had the opportunity to go to a boarding school do you think you would have gone?
H What do you think of the staff generally?
I How about plays, and orchestras, bands, concerts….. ?
J How strict is the school?
K What would you change about your school?
L So there isn’t a great deal of those extra-curricular sort of activities that go on really?
M And what’s your view on school uniform?
N Could you just describe your secondary school to us, please?
O Do you have a daily assembly?
P What about pupils who need remedial help – is there special provision for them?
Q Have you come across any or many instances of bullying?
R Would you have liked to have gone to a private school …..?
S And what is the discipline like in general, would you say?
T What is the uptake for sport like?
U Do you think they would know fairly quickly if, for example, there were (or was) a problem with attendance, or the level of your work?
V Are there any ways in which you consider it has catered for you particularly well and for people like you?
W And what’s the art department like? So-so?
X Do you think it has it been a good school for you?
