Soccer star denies sexual assault

Jan 28 – Brazil and Manchester City striker Robinho has denied any wrongdoing or criminality after his arrest over an allegation of serious sexual assault.

A statement issued on the player’s website said Robinho denied the accusation and was happy to cooperate with police.

The 25-year-old is Britain’s most expensive soccer signing.

He was arrested in connection with an alleged assault on an 18-year-old woman in a night club in the northern English city of Leeds two weeks ago.
