Sport for Leisure – exercise B key

1 Membership of the centre has been so popular that there is now a waiting list for several of the evening classes.
2 In response to customer surveys four new coaches have been recruited in track events, aerobics and Pilates, racket sports and water activities.
3 School pupils are already benefitting from the superior field and track facilities.

Did you remember the double ‘t‘?

4 Members of the new leisure centre have had 3 months trying out the new equipment.
5 The obligatory induction course means members are trained in the use of the high-level fitness machines.
6 Sports training for local teams has already resulted in some impressive results in competitive matches.

You could have suggested ‘competition matches‘.

7 Rugby, football and hockey squads all reached semi-final level before being beaten in the finals.
8 The centre’s key aim is to offer sport both as a leisure pursuit and a serious vocation.

Pursue is a verb, and here you needed the noun from it.
