Stallion

stallion poem

Majestic, mystical, mythical soul

What power slumbers deep

beneath your powerful form

awaiting just the awakening

nudge that will stur those slumbers

into a power so wild and untamed?

We rise and fall with

the lay of the land.

Your feet, steadfast and true

carry me to a world

more exhilerating,

more mysterious

more true.

With mane flowing free

an enchanting breeze

washing over my face

I race with you,

race to places more beautiful,

more alive.

I feel your power

and know you give it

willingly

and freely

to a soul that feels

only gratitude

and awe

that a creature so

seemingly fragile,

so harnessed,

can really be

so untamed

and wild

and free.

Majestic, mystical, mythical soul

We ride, as one
