Tuesday Week 1 – Day 2 – More listening

 

 

After the feedback on yesterday’s listening test you should have some ideas about which type of questions or which sections are creating the biggest loss of marks.

 

Did you find that some of these were not really about listening at all but about recording your listening answers – things like grammar or spelling – this is a pity as you are losing marks for ‘silly’ things.

 

In this second listening test be very vigilant about these things and make sure you pay attention to the grammar and spelling.

 

Use the time you have before the recording begins to look for key words that will help you when you listen.

 

Make a few notes as you go along especially when you are not sure – write down what it sounded like maybe you can work it out later when you transfer your answers.

 

It’s always worth having a guess – you won’t lose any marks if you are wrong.

 

Send the results to your teacher and when you get them back check again as yesterday to make sure you hear everything in the test.

 

Tomorrow you will have a SKype call with your teacher about the listening so make sure you have all the questions you want to ask ready for this call.

 

Good luck with today’s listening – you should have a higher score than yesterday.
