The Atlanta-based company says its mobile barcode-reading technology will breathe new life into traditional media by turning 2D images into 3G businesses.

NeoMedia’s mobile-barcode reading solution, showcased at the Mobile World Congress in February, may not equal the stylish sci-fi film ‘The Matrix’ in terms of visual effects, but it does aim to offer ‘real’ businesses salvation through a virtual platform, with a phone providing a bridge between the two worlds.
