Waiting for Zimbabwe breakthrough

Aug 11 – President Robert Mugabe talks of ‘little hurdles’ to agreement at power-sharing talks

Talks between Mugabe, opposition Movement for Democratic Change leader Morgan Tsvangirai and MDC breakaway faction leader Arthur Mutambara broke after a marathon 14-hour sesssion.

Negotiations began last month after Mugabe’s unopposed re-election in June.

That poll was condemned throughout the world, while Tsvangirai boycotted the election after attacks on his supporters.
