Grand gift replaces wrecked piano.

John and Penny Adie watched in horror when the £45,000 grand piano bought for the music festival they run crashed down a flight of granite steps as it was being delivered in Barkham six months ago. As insurance wrangles threatened to jeopardise the annual event, Bösendorfer made an unprecedented offer and donated an £85,000 Imperial Concert Grand. The half-tonne piano, 9ft 6in (2.9m) long, was delivered without a scratch by drivers from the company in Vienna. Mr Adie, 61, said: "It is huge, but it plays like a dream."
The Two Moors festival opens on October 12.
