Using the word of the day.
- ‘Use them or lose them!’ Using new words as soon as you can means you will have a better chance of remembering them.
- Make a new vocabulary list in a small pocket notebook, your pda or dictaphone. If you can carry this around and look at (or listen to) it now and again when you have time it will help you to remember the words.
- Where time is limited, receive the word and pop it on to your list and work on all the new words at the end of the week when you have more time.

Using the word of the day archive
- Words are stored in the archive the day after they have been on the site, so if you miss one you can find it in the archive.
- Words from the archive are then put into a PDF format that will be available as a document for you to download from the site.
- So, there will always be a vocabulary list for you to access and increase your word power.
- Some will be used in the crosswords to give you even more practice!!
