It is common today, that academic education is given more emphasis than practical knowledge. Although, academic education is vital in an individual’s life it is essential that a student has the capacity to apply the gained knowledge efficiently in their day-jobs. I believe both are essential in today’s environment and society. For instance, academic education is needed for an individual to acquire a job initially but to excel in that job the practical skills are essential.

Smoking is harmful to the individual as well as the environment. Many organisations and the governments of most of the countries have banned smoking in work and public places in order to protect their employers and citizens. Although, many people believe that this is the best approach to save the environment some argue that it curbs the right of an individual.

Today, crime shows are increasingly popular on TV. Many argue that these programmes are well-liked for their suspense and interesting plots, while others feel that there are things to learn about how crimes are committed in daily lives from day to day. Before a reasoned conclusion is can be drawn, an analysis on the reasons for their popularity and the possible effects shall be made.
